Roof leaks can cause anxiety and be frustrating. Once you notice a roof leak, the first thing to do is try to contain it. You can do this by putting a bowl, trash can, bucket, or plastic under the leak. Then call us for an inspection to find the source of the leak and a solution to fix it. Sometimes roofs are older or in such poor condition that the best fix is to replace the entire roof. However, many times roof leaks can be repaired to avoid replacing the entire roof.

Most of our repairs are guaranteed for 2-5 years. Factors such as the age and condition of the roof and the issue being repaired impact the guarantee. Sometimes, if the roof is newer, we can guarantee the repair for 10-15 years or longer. Some roofs are aged or in such poor condition that we can only offer temporary repairs that typically last 6 months to a year; but we don’t guarantee temporary repairs. 

Yes! We can flash any new exhaust fan roof vents, plumbing vents, B-vents, etc on an existing roof. 

Most roofs only take 1 day to replace. This includes tear off, installing the roof, and cleanup. Some roofs are larger, have a steeper pitch, or have a lot of damaged wood to replace, which can cause it to take more than one day to replace.

No, in many cases a leaking roof is an isolated issue that can be fixed without replacing the entire roof. The age and condition of the roof, and the extent of the roof issue, really determine if it makes sense to repair or replace. We can provide multiple options for varying levels of fixes so that you can make an informed decision on what works best for you.

The dark stains and streaks on roofs are caused by algae, not mold. Besides being unsightly, the algae doesn’t actually cause any damage to the roof. A power washing company can apply a solution to your roof to clean off the algae. 

Ice and water shield is an underlayment that sticks directly to the roof deck to add an additional layer of leak barrier. It is typically installed in valleys, around chimneys, skylights, slope transitions, and along the roof lines when drip edge is installed. 

Drip edge is a type of flashing that goes along the roof lines to prevent ice dams during heavy or snow, as well as preventing animal intrusion in the attic.
